- During General Congregation 35 several new appointments were made. Frs. Lisbert D'Souza, James Grummer, Federico Lombardi and Marcos Recolons were elected by the Congregation as Assistants Ad Providentiam. Fr. Ignacio Echarte Onate was appointed by Fr. General as the new Secretary of the Society. Frs. Adam Zak, Antoine Kerhuel, Daniel Huang, Gabriel Rodriguez, Jean-Roger Ndombi, and Joaquin Barrero Diaz were appointed by Fr. General as General Assistants. Frs. Mark Rotsaert and Arturo Soso Abascal will be General Assistants not living in Rome. Fr. General has asked Fr. Orlando Torres to continue as the General Assistant for Formation.
