For the first time in the history of the Society of Jesus a Superior General presided over a General Congregation called to accept his resignation and to elect his successor. Fr. Peter-Hans Kovenbach, S.J. is now just "one of the boys" at GC 35. Seated in seat #207, he takes a moment in a break in the meetings to pose for this picture.
