Our ancestors say, “When a chicken steps into a foreign land it stands on one leg because it is not certain if where it is standing is a graveyard”. This is obviously not the case as upon arrival they spoke French freely amongst themselves as well as with those around them. This did not last for long. The injunction
“il faut parler anglais” echoed just as they were getting too comfortable communicating in French. Wait a minute! Who are we talking about here?
On July 3rd, nine French speaking theologians from Institut de Théologie de la Compagnie de Jésus (ITCJ) arrived in our province. They are here to improve on their use of the English language. They shall be residing in some of our apostolic communities while taking lessons in English Language. These visiting theologians are Bokouamanga Hugues Christian, Bossa Gildas Akouete, Botomonina Philbert, Kapiangu Marcel, Loua Fassou Bievenu, Messingue Jean, Naortangar Rodrigue, Rabarison Hugues and Tika Dieudonne.
Shortly before Fr. Provincial went to his office to commence the day’s work, they had the opportunity of taking a photograph with him. We wish them a happy experience in our province!!!!![]()
