Akwaaba! Fr. General, Adolfo Nicolás, SJ.
to the North-West Africa Province

Fr. General, Adolfo Nicolás arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on the 18th April, 2009 in the company of Fr. Jean-Roger Ndombi, SJ. the Assistant for Africa. They were met at the Airport by the Provincial of the North-West Africa Province Fr. George Quickley, SJ., Fr. John Ghansah, SJ., the District Superior of Ghana, Fr. Emmanuel, Kevin Odey, SJ., and Edmund Agorhom, SJ. Fr. General preached at the 9:00am mass at St. Anthony Parish on Sunday 19th April, 2009, the only parish where Jesuits are working in Ghana. It was a very vibrant and spirited mass as parishioners turned out in record numbers adorned in their societal attires. From left is the Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, Mrs Julia Almo and the husband, . The Luncheon ended with a short power point presentation by Edmund Agorhom, SJ. that chronicled the history of Jesuits in Ghana and the apostolates Jesuits are involved in. The presentation also highlighted possible areas of engagement in the future such as a social and educatinal ministries. After the presentation Fr. General gave a brief response.  />
