Saint Stanislaus Kostka
Saint Stanislaus Kostka is the patron saint of Jesuit novices. He died while embarking on a journey to join a Jesuit novitiate far away from his home and country. His feast day is a day for recognizing the youngest novice and celebration in the novitiate. It is also a time of praying that the young men in the novitiate have the zeal of the Spirit which inspired Kostka to leave the comfortable confines of his home and country in search of a Jesuit novitiate that would admit him.
